We’ve had a bit of warm weather here in Alabama and it’s making me crave spring. I’ve noticed a few flowers blooming, so of course I’ve noticed bees buzzing around. I really love this time of year, so I wanted to incorporate that into my March bullet journal spread. I think I will call it my busy bee theme.
Cover Page/TBR Page
For my cover page, I decided to watercolor a bumble bee. I wanted to use watercolor paper because the colors are more vibrant. I’m really happy with how he turned out. Then I found these fun metallic stickers that just fit in perfectly. I used my stamp set for the month, because I love the rustic look. In the past, I wanted everything perfectly straight and even, but I’ve learned to embrace the imperfections.
The next page is my TBR page. If you read my March TBR, you’ll notice I’ve added a few extras. I went book shopping and I just couldn’t stop myself. No worries, my haul is coming soon! Since I’m going with a bee theme, I figured yellow stripes would add a little something extra. I used my Tombow Brush Marker to highlight the titles.
I decided to carry the stripes throughout the theme. On my reviews page, I list every book that I need to do a review on. This helps me keep track.
I’m going to try to keep my books bought page empty this month. My physical tbr is getting overwhelming, so I don’t need to buy anymore books. The Lost Apothecary is my Book of the Month pick this month. It will probably be the only book I buy for now.
Books Read/Wrap Up
I’ve made a slight change to my books read page. I decided to add my rating to it as well, so I don’t have to pull up Goodreads every time. I don’t know why I haven’t thought of this sooner. The yellow stripes made this page a lot of fun.
Lastly, my wrap up page. It’s pretty self-explanatory. This is where I total all of my numbers. I like having one page to recap the entire month.
So that’s my busy bee spread. I’m really happy with the way it turned out. It’s so bright and fun.
