Spooky Bookmarks + Reading Check In

Spooky Bookmarks

Every Halloween I like to do a fun Halloween craft. And one of my favorites is coloring my own spooky bookmarks. It’s simple, fun, and something I will actually use. I always get my templates from Etsy. There are tons of options. This year I bought them from LakeLifeTeacher. Then I print the template out on cardstock and I’m good to go. I still think these would be great to hand out to Trick or Treaters as well. One of these day’s I’m going to sit down and design my own. Until then these work just fine.

Reading Update

So, this weekend I started on The House of the Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I’m about 100 pages in, and I will say it’s not exactly what I expected from the synopsis. But I am enjoying it. And I don’t know if it’s just me but when I start a classic, I usually have to give my brain an adjustment period to get used to the writing. Now that I’m adjusted, I hope to make my way through it pretty quickly.

I’m hoping to pick up Such Sharp Teeth next. We’re heading down to Florida, and I think that would make a great road trip read. Plus, I need to give my brain a break from all the classics that I’ve been reading. I really loved Cackle by the same author, so I’m hoping to love it just as much.

If you’ve read Such Sharp Teeth let me know what you thought about it in the comments.

Don’t forget to check out my last post.
