2023 Georgia Apple Festival

We made a day trip to Elijay, Georgia for the 2023 Georgia Apple Festival this weekend. It was a gorgeous day full of good food, great shopping, and friendly people.

After a gorgeous ride through the north Georgia mountains, we finally made it to Elijay around 9:30 Saturday morning. We wanted to get there early as possible because this festival can get crowded. The gates opened at nine and the parking was already filling up. We had to park a little bit away but the walk in was stunning. It was a crisp fall morning with a bright blue sky. Seriously, I haven’t edited the picture above. It was just that bright out.

When we got into the festival it was a little overwhelming at first. There were over 200 vendors and food trucks set up. They actually have maps and signs set up to help you orient yourself. There was just a buzz of excitement throughout the entire fair ground.

The Wicked Witch Hat Company

The Wicked Witch Hat Company was the first stop I wanted to make. I had my sights set on this specific hat and I was thrilled to get my hands on it. The shop owner and all of the people shopping were just absolutely amazing.

Food

We ate plenty of food while we were there. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the names of the food vendors. But Cj and I split a gyro, a lobster roll (I’m trying to learn to like lobster but I’m still not a fan), and an apple dumpling. Of all the things we had the apple dumpling was absolutely my favorite and I wish I had one right now.

True Honey Teas

The next vendor we stopped at was True Honey Teas. I tried a few samples but these two were my absolute favorites. They both have honey granules in them which makes them the right amount of sweetness right after steeping.

Dixie Dreams Farm

Then we stopped by Dixie Dreams Farms and I picked up a tumeric tea and a sweet orange a bergamot soap. I’m excited to try the tea to see if it helps with my joint pain. Also, the soap is the smoothest, foamiest soap.

Cottage Industry Soap Company

After that we found Cottage Industry Soap Company where they had the best smelling candles. Magnolia Leaves was the scent I ended up buying and it came in this gorgeous silver pot. And the grapefruit shea butter whip smells amazing as well.

A New Chapter Art

The last vendor we visited was A New Chapter Art. I’ve seen a lot of book art, but this was some of the most unique. I had to have this book on my shelf, and I bought a fun little bookmark for Halloween.

Colonel Robert’s Homemade Root Beer

The last spot we visited before leaving the festival was Colonel Robert’s Homemade Rootbeer where I got a lemon fizz and Cj got a cream soda. They were both delicious.

Panorama Farm Market

Lastly, right before we left Elijay, we had to stop at Panorama Orchards to grab a bag of apples and apple cider donuts. It’s a must visit place if you’re in Elijay.

So that was out weekend at the 2023 Georgia Apple Festival. It was a ton of fun and I hope to visit again next year.
