In my little part of the world there is a pretty popular bike trail called the Chief Ladiga Trail. It is thirty-nine miles of paved trail that connects four towns together and connects directly to the Silver Comet trail at the Alabama/Georgia line.

It’s a beautiful trail that brings a lot of visitors to my small town. I used to walk it with my friends and family years ago, but I hate to admit that it has been a long time since I’ve used it. Now that the weather is getting warm, I want to walk it. It’s a perfect place to take my daughter and let her ride in her wagon. So that’s exactly what we did yesterday.

We parked at one of the welcome centers and just decided to walk. We didn’t have a goal in mind we just wanted to enjoy the day.

We ended up walking until we made it to this bridge. Then we spent some time taking pictures and just enjoying the weather. I need to bring my DSL camera next time. These pictures are just from my cell phone.

It’s safe to say we live in a pretty area. Overall, we walked about two miles, and it was great. We also talked to so many friendly people on the trail. I hope to make this a frequent family outing. If you’re ever in Northeast Alabama, I highly suggest giving the Chief Ladiga Trail a try.
