A Midweek Reading Update

I’m still reading The Shadow Rising. I can’t remember how long I’ve actually been reading this, but I am determined to finish it before the end of the month. It’s not that I’m not enjoying it, I am. However, it’s been a slow trek. A lot is happening and I’m having to slow down my pace to keep up with everything. And honestly, even with the slower pace, I’m still a little confused about a few things. I’m trusting that it will work itself out since it’s a long series.

Now my first initial thought is that I want to start The Fellowship of the Ring right after I finish The Shadow Rising. I’m still really excited to give it a read. But I can feel a book hangover coming on so I think I’m going to take a fantasy break and read something a little faster paced.

I think I’ll pick up A Spell for Saints and Sinners. I loved Gothictown by the same author and I’m super excited for this new release. Plus, it’s set in Savannah and has the vibes of a book I loved as a teenager called The Magnolia League. So, I have high hopes for this.

That’s my plan for the rest of the month. What are you planning to pick up?
