A Quick Reading Update: April 2021

quick reading update

Today I thought I would do a quick reading update. Reading hasn’t been an easy task this week. I’m just barely getting my required number of pages in each day. And I know “required number of pages” sounds crazy, but that’s the amount I allot myself to stay sane. Reading really helps me relax, so I make it a priority to read each night. Anyhow this week has been super busy, so I’m barely fitting in time to read. However, I’m really enjoying 1969. I hope to sit down with it and finish it this weekend. Fingers crossed.

What’s Up Next?

Well, I don’t really know. Part of me wants to jump into sci-fi, part wants fantasy, and part of me is craving a good thriller. I thought about starting The Lost Apothecary. I really want to see what all the hype is about. Plus, it’s on the shorter side which would be a great contrast to 1969. I’m loving every minute of it, but it’s dense.

After, I finish The Lost Apothecary I will probably read Red Rising or The Desolation of Devil’s Acre. It’s time to get them off of my tbr. I’m also going on vacation near the end of the month. I like to think that it will give me extra reading time, but packing takes time. Plus, I will have posts to schedule before I leave. So I might not even get to pick up anything else, but that will be ok. Right now I’m focusing on quality not quantity.

So that’s it for my quick reading update. I know I mostly just rambled, but thanks for sticking around. What are you reading this weekend? I’d love to know.
