The Wayfarer by Zachary Kekac Review

The Wayfarer

I would like to thank the author for a chanced to read The Wayfarer. I was gifted a copy in exchange for my honest opinion. So let’s get to it.

The Wayfarer stands on the edge of insanity. He remembers nothing. But the Shadow does. He must surrender himself and follow the mysterious figure forward through countless trials and adventures.

My Thoughts on The Wayfarer

Let me start by saying that The Wayfarer is not for everyone. There is only a select group of people I would recommend this to. I’m not even sure if it’s for me. But I think the readers that can truly enjoy this book will find a new favorite.

The writing style is unlike anything I’ve ever read before. You can tell this author is a lover of the written word and I can respect that. Does it lean toward purple prose? Yes, totally. And at the beginning I found it distracting, but once the action started it pulled me in and wouldn’t let go.

Once you get used to the writing style this rich, immersive world develops right in front of you. It is action packed and full of depth that I never expected. It also covers some heavy topics, so you might want to research trigger warnings before picking this one up.
