Let’s talk auto buy authors. An auto buy author is an author that you’ll automatically purchase no matter what. You trust that your auto buy author will never let you down. I don’t have many auto buy authors, but I’m loyal to the ones that I have. Here are a few of mine.
Brandon Sanderson

I just started reading his work last year, but I’m hooked. I’ve enjoyed everything that I’ve picked up by him. He’s one of my favorite fantasy authors for sure. I’m going through his backlist now and I plan to purchase every book he releases in the future.
Jay Kristoff

I was hesitant about Jay Kristoff at first. The first book I read by him was Nevernight and honestly, it’s a lot to get used to. I actually dnfed it to begin with and then I picked it back up and loved it. I still haven’t read his backlist, but I’m really excited for his new releases. He just gives me what I want in a dark, gritty fantasy.
Junji Ito

I’m new to the manga format, but I’ve become obsessed with Junji Ito. I read a lot of horror and most of the time it doesn’t bother me. But Junji Ito’s work freaks me out, and I enjoy that. I will continue to buy anything he publishes.
Riley Sager

Riley Sager is my favorite thriller author. The Last Time I Lied was the first book of his that I ever read, and I’ve been buying every new release since. I will admit he scared me with his last release, Survive the Night. When I first started it, I didn’t like the direction it was going. But being the master of the plot twist that he is, I liked the way it ended.
So those are a few of my auto buy authors. Do you have any?
My auto buy authors would include Brandon Sanderson too as well Melissa Caruso and Mercedes Lackey. I also have lots of auto reserves at the library especially for crime novels that I won’t want to read more than once.
Home Before Dark by Riley Sager is fantastic if you haven’t already read it!
LOVE Riley Sager! A few of my auto-buy authors are Matt Wildasin, Wesley Southard, Gemma Amor, Laurel Hightower, Hunter Shea, Sonora Taylor, V. Castro, Michael Clark, and Brennan LaFaro. I’ll stop there, but I have a lot more… lol! 🙂
