E Shaver Booksellers Haul

We spent the weekend in Savannah, Georgia, which just happens to be where my favorite independent bookstore is located. I told myself I wouldn’t buy much, but I kind of blacked out when we got in there. The next thing I knew I was carrying two shopping bags to my car. So, let’s see what I got in my E Shaver Booksellers Haul.

Surviving Savannah

It’s been a long time since I’ve picked up a historical fiction and Surviving Savannah really caught my eye. The main reason I got it was because it was set in Savannah. It just felt right buying a book about Savannah’s history in Savannah.

The Last House on Needless Street

I had intentions of buying The Last House on Needless Street back in October, but I sort of forgot about it until I saw it at E. Shaver. I feel like I’m ready to dive into something spooky, so I was immediately reminded of how badly I wanted to read this. Plus. there’s a blurb from Stephen King, so that’s pretty convincing.

Fevered Star

Fevered Star was the only book I didn’t impulse buy on this trip. This was the only book that I planned to get at E. Shaver. It’s one of my most anticipated books of the year and I can’t wait to get to it.

Gallant

I was back and forth on Gallant. I didn’t know if I wanted to read it because I’ve had mixed opinions on V.E. Schwab. But the longer I looked at this book the more interested I got. My husband really was the deciding factor when he said it looked cool. He thought it looked like something I would love, and I trust his opinion.

Gimble Book Holder

I’m a sucker for nick knacks. This book holder is the last thing in the world that I need, but it looked really cool. I hope it works as well as I think it will. I haven’t tried it yet. I just hope it will fit on some of my chunkier fantasy books.

E. Shaver, bookseller Print

Lastly, I got this gorgeous watercolor print of the book shop. This picture doesn’t do it justice. I was afraid to take the protective film off to do the picture, so there is a little reflection. But this thing is stunning in person. I think I’m going to get if framed and hang it in my bookroom.

So that’s my E Shaver Booksellers Haul. I can’t stress how much I love this bookstore. There’s just something so lovely about it. If you’re in Savannah you’ve got to check it out. I promise you won’t be disappointed. If you’re not, but still want to buy from an independent store you can visit their website. But I’d definitely recommend visiting, because even if you’re not there for the books their shop cats are the cutest things.
