I’m officially out of room on my tbr shelf. It’s time for summertime unhaul. It’s getting hard to clear down my shelf. A lot of these books were books I expected to love at one time. Some of them I’ve dnfed and just held onto hoping that they would stick someday. And some of them I haven’t even started but ultimately lost interest in. I want to make room on my shelf for books that I’m super excited about. So here we go.
Anno Dracula

I’ve had this Anno Dracula for literally years. I haven’t made it past page ten so it’s time for it to go.
Pet Sematary

I will probably read Pet Sematary one day, but not right now. I’ve heard it’s a great exploration of grief. Honestly, I don’t want to go down that rabbit hole right now, even if it is packaged as a horror novel.
Reckless Girls

I loved The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins, but for some reason I have no interest in picking Reckless Girls up. Vacation settings to tropical islands aren’t usually my vibe, so it just doesn’t draw me in.
The Goldfinch

I bought The Goldfinch minutes after reading The Secret History. But honestly, I don’t even remember what it’s about. I just don’t have the energy to devote to this massive book right now.
The Atlas Six

I dnfed The Atlas Six I honestly think I burned myself out on dark academia for now. It just felt too similar to other books I have read. It didn’t have anything extra to keep me hooked.
Hester

Hester just was not what I expected. I had set the bar so high for this one and it ultimately let me down. I dnfed it pretty early on.
Hang the Moon

I selected Hang the Moon in my BOTM box a few months ago. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have bought this one if I had found it at a store.
So that was my summertime unhaul. What have you unhauled recently?
If you’re interested in any of these, be sure to check out my Pangbooks shop. Each purchase helps support this blog.
I unhauled a bunch of books including my Twilight series, I’m not going to ever reread them.
Understandable! That makes room for new books!
Yep!
