Summer Bucket List 1: Barnes & Noble Cafe

A while back I created my summer bucket list. Then I immediately forgot about it. Until the other day. I decided I wanted to go to Barnes & Noble. I’ve been trying to avoid bookstores because we’re saving up for a trip in July. But every now and then I just need to be surrounded by books.

The prompt on my bucket list says “Drink a refreshing drink at the Barnes and Noble Cafe.” So that’s exactly what I did. I ordered the chocolate java mint frappuccino and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

So now let’s get to the good stuff. Let’s get to the haul. I’ve been loving horror and thrillers right now, so I had to stock up. Here’s what I got.

The Only One Left

Barnes and Noble

I’m so excited to get my hands on The Only One Left. I always look forward to Riley Sager’s new releases but this one really calls to me. It’s a gothic story set in a creepy house. It’s one of my favorite authors writing about one of my favorite things. I just think it’s going to be a match made in heaven.

Come with Me

Barnes and Noble

I’m still new to Ronald Malfi’s work. I read Little Girls and was really impressed so I wanted to pick up another book of his. The Barnes & Noble I visited didn’t have the biggest selection but Come with Me was next on my list. I’m glad that they had it. I can’t wait to give this one a read.

Barnes and Noble

I didn’t know anything about Goth. Really, I picked it up because of the title and cover. It’s a Japanese short story collection about two morbid teenagers. I started reading it yesterday. It doesn’t mention in the synopsis that it’s a short story collection, so that took me off guard at first. I’m interested to see where the story goes. I’m not loving it but the writing does have me hooked in. So, we’ll see, I guess.

And the last thing I bought were these adorable bookmarks. I just love them.

So that wraps up my haul and my first prompt from my summer bucket list. If you want a copy, check it out down below.
