I’m going on vacation in a few days, and I’ll be visiting a couple of bookstores. So I’ve been thinking about the books that I might want to buy. If you’ve been here for a few weeks, you’ll know I’ve been on a horror kick and I’m going to stick with the genre until my mood changes. So here are a few of the horror books that I can’t wait to get my hands on.
The Woods Are Waiting
The Woods Are Waiting is a debut novel that immediately caught my attention. It’s centered around an Appalachian Mountain superstition that I want to learn more about. I love a creepy forest setting, especially in the Appalachian Mountains, so this is one of my most anticipated releases right now.
Silver Nitrate
I’m hesitant on Silver Nitrate, but it keeps catching my attention. I mean it’s about a cursed film and the two actors that get wrapped up in it. That sounds so cool! I didn’t love Mexican Gothic, but if I’m not mistaken it was her debut novel. There were a lot of elements of Mexican Gothic that I enjoyed and the things that I didn’t I think can be polished out with more experience. So, I’m hoping Silver Nitrate will be a hit for me.
Black Mouth
The last book I have on my radar is Black Mouth by Ronald Malfi. I’ve read Little Girls by him and I’m currently reading Come with Me. Black Mouth is probably his most popular book, so I figured I need to give it a try. Honestly, it gives me IT vibes because it a group of adults coming back together after a series of strange events. I hope it gives me that nostalgic feeling that I’m looking for.
