The end of the year is quickly approaching, and it’s time to start planning for 2024. I really enjoy keeping a reading journal and I found this one by Novelly Yours on Etsy. I knew it was everything that I was looking for. So, let’s unbox my 2024 reading journal.
Dashboard/Cover Page

I love that there is a dictionary and a how to for this journal. If you’re new to journaling that would be super helpful. I also like how you can set other goals on the first page outside of the number you want to read.
Lists

If you know me you know I love lists, so this page will be super helpful.
Reading Logs

There are a ton of reading log pages. It has the space to log 320 books. Will I need it? No. But there’s plenty of room for anyone who does.
Challenge Pages

I have to admit I’m pretty excited to have some reading challenges to work toward this year. I’ve done them in the past and had a lot of fun at it.

Series Tracker

I’ve never used a series tracker before but I’m really excited to start this year.
Monthly Pages

The monthly pages are so exciting. They have plenty of space and stats to track. I love that there is a releases page and a tbr with plenty of room.

This is the most detailed books read page that I’ve ever come across. I can’t wait to use it.

And I’m excited for a dnf log too. I’m not great at keeping up with dnfs but I really want to, Now I have a designated place for it.

The book haul page is going to be essential to keeping myself accountable. I’m bad about bringing more books home than necessary and I want to be more thoughtful about it in 2024.

Next, we have the recap page. That will make my monthly wrap ups so much easier.

I’m interested to use these charts. I’ve never kept up with information like this, but it will be interesting to keep track of.

Then the end of each month has a couple of blank pages at the end.
2024 Stats Pages

Lastly, we have the 2024 stats page. I love having a designated favorites spot and the year end stats all in one place.

I also love that it gives favorites by genre and bookish places and events spaces too. I’ll definitely keep track of the indie bookstores I’ll visit.

Then there are charts to keep track of star ratings and most read genres. My stats loving heart loves this.

Lastly, we have the books of the year page. I’ll probably set mine up by genre, or possibly format, I haven’t completely decided yet.
So that’s my 2024 Reading Journal Unboxing. I’m so excited to get it set up and ready to use. I’ve thought about setting it up right now because we’re always so busy at the first of the year. What do you do? Do you wait until the first of the year or do you set it up earlier?
I love your new journal and hope you have fun filling the pages. I tried keeping a separate book journal but I decided that I couldn’t keep up with it. Good Luck with yours’
Thank you! I’m obsessed with stats, so I love it. I blame it on the fact that I’m a Capricorn working in investments, hahaha.
So pretty! I love reading journals but I find I never end up keeping up with them so I’m trying really hard not to buy one this year. We’ll see if I manage to resist lol.
Hahaha good luck with resisting.
