February 2024 Reading Journal Update

I’m going to be doing my journal updates a little different this year. Instead of showing the blank pages at the beginning of the month I’m going to show you my completed pages for the previous month. So, this update will show you everything I did in January. I figured this would be more interesting to see than the set up each month, because there is very little set up to do with this journal. Let’s get to my February 2024 reading journal update.

2024 Reading Log

I added eight books to my 2024 reading log this month. It was so satisfying to watch this log fill up.

A to Z Challenge/24 in 24 Challenge

I added four books to my A to Z challenge. I actually could have added more and I’m going to udpate that soon.

Same with the 24 in 24 challenge. I don’t know how I forgot to update this.

Novelly Yours/The Cosmere Challenge

I still haven’t added anything to the Novelly Yours challenge. Hopefully that will change in February.

I did check off Tress of the Emerald see on my Cosmere reading list. You just can’t see it. This metallic pen looks pretty when you can see it. But in certain lighting, even in person, it’s hard to read. Plus, it smears. You’ll see that later.

I added The Emily Wilde Series to my series tracker in January.

January Pages

I completed my monthly goals this month. I didn’t do the best at sticking to my tbr but I’m a mood reader so that expected. And I did add Vladimir to my wish list but I haven’t bought it yet. I don’t really know what it’s about but I heard it has Saltburn vibes so I’m interested. That’s the most bizarre movie but yet I can’t stop thinking about it.

January Book Haul

I feel like I did decent at limiting my haul this month. I also just noticed that I didn’t fill out the bottom of the page. But I hope this will keep me accountable this year. I bought way too many books last year.

January DNF Log

I dnfed the first book I picked up this year. Spinning Silver just didn’t work for me.

January Monthly Recap/Favorites

I love, love, love the monthly recap page. There was something therapeutic about filling it out.

And the only book I read this month that I would consider a new favorite was Tress of the Emerald Sea.

January Charts

Lastly, we have my January charts. This was where the smearing pen was really annoying because now it looks like there are points plotted on the graph that weren’t supposed to be there, which drives me insane.
