Hi. I disappeared again. This pregnancy has my health all up and down. We had a great day in Rome, Georgia on Wednesday, but then I was exhausted on Thursday so I’m late with my post again. Just bear with me. We will make it to the second trimester, and I hope my energy will be back. In the meantime, my schedule will probably continue to be all over the place lol.
Anyhow back to Wednesday. It has been a minute since we’ve had a day out to just do something fun, so we took the time to do that on our off day. We went to Rome to try a restaurant that we’ve wanted to try for a few years now. Then we did a little shopping. So, let’s chat.
Harvest Moon Cafe
We’ve only heard great things about Harvest Moon Cafe, and we’ve wanted to try it for a while now. I’m so glad we did because it was absolutely delicious.

We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and they were honestly my favorite part of the meal. They took a classic southern comfort food and turned it into something really special. And let me tell you I could have ate so many of them. Especially with the chipotle ranch dressing. They were perfection.

Next up for entrees, we got the beef stroganoff. the Reuben, and the OMG BLT. It was all amazing. And honestly, I filled up on fries because those French fries were probably the best I’ve ever had. The other two dishes are self-explanatory, but the OMG BLT was a double decker blt that has regular tomatoes as well as fried green tomatoes and the chipotle ranch that I talked about earlier. It was divine.
Oh, and if you stop by Harvest Moon be sure to stop by their bakery, Honeymoon, next door. I highly recommend the key lime tart and the flourless chocolate torte. They didn’t last long enough to get a picture, lol.
Barnes and Noble

After lunch we went to Barnes and Noble to walk around. I only left with two books so I’m proud of myself. I picked up Assassin’s Quest and The United States of Cryptids.
I also found out that Rome has a new indie bookstore so I’m looking forward to visiting that soon.
So that was our day out in Rome, Georgia. I would say it was a successful day.
