2024 Midyear Wrap Up

I can hardly believe that it’s time to do my 2024 Midyear Wrap Up. This has simultaneously been the longest and shortest year of my life.

Number Read

I’ve read 30 out of my goal of 50 so far this year. I should comfortably be able to meet my numbers goal before the end of the year. I’m actually shocked that I’m as close as I am because I’ve been in a nasty reading slump this year.

Favorite Read

I never imagined that Rosemary’s Baby would be my favorite of the year, but I really enjoyed it. I haven’t read anything else that captivated me quite as much as it did. I’m interested to see if it stays my favorite throughout the year.

Least Favorite Read

My least favorite read is easily Best of Luck. I barely remember reading it. And I couldn’t begin to tell you what it was about. I’m pretty sure it’s the only book I’ve rated one star all year. I was not a fan.

New Obsession

My new obsession this year is non-fiction. And I mean of all subjects. I’ve read a little bit of everything. I’ve settled into the cryptozoology at this particular moment but I’m looking forward to picking some historical nonfiction soon.

Goals Moving Forward

My main goal for the rest of the year is to just keep reading. This year has been hard, and it’s taken the joy out of my favorite hobby. I want to find that joy again and I think I’m on the right track.

That’s my 2024 Midyear Wrap Up. How has your 2024 been so far? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
