I’ve noticed a lot of new faces around the blog lately and I want to take a second and say welcome to my little part of the bookish internet. My name is Megan and I’ve been blogging for a few years now. It’s been just long enough to sort of know what I’m doing, hahaha. But I thought I would take a second to reintroduce myself so let’s do the Meet the Blogger Book Tag.
Rules
- Nominated bloggers can nominate ten other bloggers.
- Use the same questions from the tag.
- Tag the original creator (Bibliomavens) and the blogger who tagged you. I wasn’t technically tagged. I found this over on Reading Ladies page.
Who is your all-time favorite book character?
Kaladin. That’s easy. I know he wasn’t the coolest character in the last Stormlight book, and a lot of people didn’t like him at all, but I will always be a Kaladin stan.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)

That’s hard. I might take A Game of Thrones. It’s a hefty book packed with a lot of action so it should keep me entertained for a while. And maybe when I’m finally rescued from the island, Winds of Winter might actually be published.
What’s your most unpopular book opinion?

Well, right now the fact that I liked Wind and Truth has been super unpopular and many people have let me know that. But I won’t take time to justify my opinion because reading is completely subjective. If we all had the same opinions the world would be boring.
What’s your weirdest bookish habit?
I can’t think of a weird bookish habit right off hand. I think my husband could probably answer this question for me though.
What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?
Generally, I’m not a fan of the fake partner trope so I probably wouldn’t do this. Butttt if I had to choose, I would choose Prince Raoden or Adolin. Either would be a good option. They’re both noble and successful men.
What made you decide to start a book blog?
I’ve always been a super creative/crafty person. And I’ve always loved to write until college caused me to burn out. After college I started working in finance and even though I love it there isn’t much room for creativity in my job. So, I wanted an outlet where I could write and share my love of reading with others. That was several years ago, and I still love blogging as much as I did then.
What about reading and books do you love the most?
“Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing.” -Harper Lee
I relate to this quote on a deep level. I’ve always loved to read. I don’t remember a life without it. I love how it can expand your mind, whisk you away to a new place, and challenge your beliefs all at the same time.
What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?
I work in finance, specifically at an investment company. I’m also a licensed life insurance agent.
What are some book recommendations that became your favorite/obsessions?
If you’ve been on the bookish internet for any period of time you’ve probably had someone recommend a Brandon Sanderson book. And honestly, if you’ve talked to me, I’ve probably recommended a Brandon Sanderson book. I took everyone else’s recommendation and now I’m obsessed. It’s never too late to join the club, hahaha.
What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?

Cackle by Rachel Harrison. I want everyone to read it and love it as much as I do. Which is tricky because it leans a little on the divisive side. It’s a love it or hate it type of book.
And that was the Meet the Blogger Book Tag! As always, thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate you guys. Oh, and if you want to do this tag, then I tag you. But be sure to link me to your post because I would love to get to know you as well.

I loved reading your answers! Thanks for the shoutout!
Thanks for reading!
I love tags where you get to know people😍. I definitely agree about not remembering a time when I didn’t love reading. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved books and reading.
I do too! It really makes me feel like I’m part of the community.
that quote is definitely amazing! makes me want to read harper lee because of it
I highly recommend!
I may not be a new face around here, but I still feel like I learnt so much more about you through this post – I loved reading this! Although you’re making me very apprehensive about Wind and Truth… My last three months have been so chaotic that I still haven’t read it, and you saying Kaladin might not be the coolest character in it is nearly giving me a heart attack! 😂 Still, I guess we’ll see what I think – I now own a copy and intend to read it ASAP!
A lot of people didn’t like him in this but I will always love Kaladin lol. I hope you enjoy it when you get to it! You’ve got to let me know your thoughts when you’re done!
