A Summer Outing in Woodstock, Georgia

Cj finally had a weekend off, so we decided to take a quick day trip to Woodstock, Georgia. Here’s what we got up to.

Woodstock Farmers Market

The Woodstock Farmers Market was our original destination. I wanted to go stock up on some peaches and produce but I didn’t, haha. But I did get a few other things.

I bought three bags of tea from The Tenley Tea Company. They had a great variety of unique flavors. I’ve had the Chill Out Chai already and it was delicious. Now I can’t wait to try the other two.

I didn’t need another candle but this one from Cherokee Rose Candle Co smelled divine. It is summer in a jar. She also had an amazing peach candle, and I regret not getting it as well.

We also bought two Waygu ribeyes from K&B Farm and they were so good. I ate it so quickly that I forgot to take a pic, hahaha. I also didn’t take any pictures of the market itself. It was pretty crowded, but it had a fun atmosphere.

FoxTale Book Shoppe

Now I couldn’t go to Woodstock without stopping by FoxTale Book Shoppe. It’s still easily one of my favorite indie shops within driving distance of my home. I’m going to share a haul tomorrow so be sure to come back for that. I got some really good stuff.

Raising Cane’s

Fun fact. This was my first time at Raising Cane’s. The closest one to me is this location and it’s about two hours from my house. That’s a long drive for chicken fingers, but I wanted to try it while we were here. I have a controversial opinion, but I don’t want you to hate me. It was just ok. Maybe it was the location because they got everything about our order wrong. But honestly, there’s a place near us called Guthrie’s that’s even better and it’s cheaper. Plus, the sauce is identical.

Buc-ees

Lastly, we went to Buc-ees. I love Buc-ees. I do. But don’t go the day after the Fourth of July. The crowds were unreal. The traffic trying to get into the parking lot was backed up to the interstate. The line to the women’s restroom was literally almost to the registers. But you can bet I still got my brisket burrito and a cup I didn’t need.

That was our Woodstock, Georgia outing. It was nice to get away even if it was just for a day.
