I’ve been stuck in the world of The Wheel of Time, and I haven’t kept up with new releases. But I’ve been itching for something a little different, so I browsed through the coming soon section on Barnes and Noble’s website. You’ll notice a theme to this post. I think I’m craving historical fiction. Let’s dive into my Spring 2026 anticipated book releases.
The Beheading Game

I honestly don’t know what to expect from The Beheading Game but go read the synopsis and tell me that it’s not intriguing.

Daughter of Egypt

I’ve never really been interested in historical fiction set in Egypt until now. I blame that on The Strength of the Few. Even though I didn’t love it the mythology really interested me. So, Daughter of Egypt immediately caught my attention. I need this book.

How to Survive Camping: The Lady in Chains

I loved How to Survive Camping #1 so I’m super excited to get my hands on How to Survive Camping #2. I’m wondering if it will build on story number one or if it will stand on its own. Either way I’m sure it will be a good time.

The Director

Here’s where the historical fiction theme started. I stumbled upon The Director. It’s a WWII story and that’s an instant draw to me. I’m also interested in the old Hollywood spin on this.
