Hi and welcome to the world’s least interesting wrap up. I read a lot this month. I just didn’t complete much. I’m still working my way through The Shadow Rising. I’m finally making some progress, but I spent a lot of the month jumping back and forth between it and other books. Hopefully, I’m going to finish it sometime soon. But until then here is my March 2026 wrap up.
Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer

Synopsis:
You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t general or generic, not a one-size-fits-all. It’s specific. Personalized. Targeted.
So this book is your chance to strike back. With prayer. With a weapon that really works. Each chapter will guide you in crafting prayer strategies that hit the enemy where it hurts, letting him know you’re on to him and that you won’t back down. Because with every new strategy you build, you’re turning the fiercest battles of life into precise strikes against him and his handiwork, each one infused with the power of God’s Spirit.
New York Times bestselling author Priscilla Shirer, widely known for her international speaking, teaching, and writing ministries, brings her new role from the 2015 film War Room into the real lives of today’s women, addressing the topics that affect them most: renewing their passion, refocusing their identity, negotiating family strife, dealing with relentless regrets, navigating impossible schedules, succeeding against temptation, weathering their worst fears, uprooting bitterness, and more. Each chapter exposes the enemy’s cruel, crafty intentions in all kinds of these areas, then equips and encourages you to write out your own personalized prayer strategies on tear-out sheets you can post and pray over yourself and your loved ones on a regular basis.
Fervent is a hands-on, knees-down, don’t-give-up action guide to practical, purposeful praying.
My Rating: 3/5
I enjoyed this. I didn’t love it. There wasn’t anything super life shaking but it was a nice listen.
Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff: Declutter, Downsize, and Move Forward with Your Life

Synopsis:
Your boxes of photos, family’s china, and even the kids’ height charts aren’t just stuff; they’re attached to a lifetime of memories–and letting them go can be scary. With empathy, expertise, and humor, Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff, written in collaboration with AARP, helps you sift through years of clutter, let go of what no longer serves you, and identify the items worth keeping so that you can focus on living in the present.
For over 20 years, Matt Paxton has helped people from all walks of life who want to live more simply declutter and downsize. As a featured cleaner on Hoarders and host of the Emmy-nominated Legacy List with Matt Paxton on PBS, he has identified the psychological roadblocks that most organizational experts routinely miss but that prevent so many of us from lightening our material load. Using poignant stories from the thousands of individuals and families he has worked with, Paxton brings his signature insight to a necessary task.
My Rating: 1/5
Ya’ll so the synopsis on Libby did not mention that this was written in collaboration with AARP. That description would have made me skip it. But even still my dislikes are valid. This book isn’t for me. It’s not about decluttering. It mainly focuses on downsizing to an assisted living. There was a ten-minute segue in the first chapter about how to choose a retirement home. That’s not what I expected from a book about decluttering. And the whole book was like that. Honestly, I didn’t learn anything about decluttering, but it did give a great detailed description of how to hire an Assisted Living Home Coordinator. Maybe I will remember that when I retire in fifty years or so. In the meantime, I’m on the hunt for other decluttering strategies.
So that was my slightly depressing March 2026 wrap up. I hope you had a better month that I did, hahaha.
