Books I’m Reading on Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Memorial Day! Hoping that you’re all healthy, happy, and soaking up the sunshine wherever you are. Unless you’re in Alabama like me. We’re soaking up the rain. But I won’t complain. My tomatoes need it. Since it’s such a rainy weekend here, we’re just relaxing around the house. I have high hopes that I might read a little while today. And if that’s the case here are the books I’m reading on Memorial Day weekend.

A Lonely Broadcast

I don’t know why my brain does it, but as soon as summer hits I immediately want horror books. Summer is for horror apparently. I ran across A Lonely Broadcast on my Kindle Wishlist and immediately wanted it. Now don’t get me wrong. It’s set in the fall so it does not have summer vibes at all. But it’s scratching the horror itch. I’m flying through this and I hope to wrap it up today and possibly move on to book two.

Diavola

If I get through The Lonely Broadcast, I might start Diavola next. It’s been on my tbr for a while, and I think it’s time I give it a read. A horror novel set in a villa on a family vacation seems perfect for the start of summer.

The Fellowship of the Ring

Lastly, we have The Fellowship of the Ring. I’ve been reading this one for a little while. I’m reading a few chunks a day. It’s taking me a little bit of time to get through because I want to make sure that I’m givng it the attention that it deserves. I can fly through fast paced horror stories all day long but this I need a bit more time to devote to this one.

So those are the books I’m reading on Memorial Day weekend. What are you getting up to today? Reading anything good? Let me know in the comments.
