My last unhaul didn’t even make a dent in the amount of books on my shelf. So I decided to do another one. This one is going way back to books I bought years ago. I don’t know why I’ve held on to them for this long. But today it’s literally out with the old and in with the new. Let’s get to yet another book unhaul.
The entire outlander Series
I picked this series up when the show started. I bought the first copy of Outlander and decided I didn’t like the format. So then I went to Books-a-Million and found this fantastic box set. I did read the first book and I decided I didn’t want to continue with the series. This is a perfect example of why you don’t buy the other books in the series until you’ve read the first one.
A Game of THrones
I love the Song of Ice and Fire series. I just don’t love mass market paperback. I have another copy of A Game of Thrones that I like so much better. So there is no reason to keep this copy.
Cold Mountain
To be honest, I bought Cold Mountain at a used book store on a whim. I never could get into it, so it’s got to go. I know a lot of people loved it. I tried to read it several times but it never seemed to stick.
Marley and ME
We’re getting to the depths of my shelf now. I bought this wayyyyy back when the movie released. Then I realized that I was not emotionally ready to read Marley and Me. I am still not emotionally ready to read it. So it’s got to go.
We’ll always have summer
Again, I bought We’ll Always Have Summer years ago when it first released. I didn’t realize it was part of a series. And it didn’t interest me enough to buy the first book.
The Diviners
I wanted to love The Diviners, but the main character got on my nerves. I just can’t bring myself to finish this series. There are too many other things on my tbr.
The Little Paris Bookshop
I did read and enjoy The Little Paris Bookshop, but I don’t feel attached to it. I’d like to pass it on to someone who might absolutely love it. There’s no reason for it to sit on my shelf collecting dust.
Dance with a Vampire
I read it. I enjoyed it. I forgot about it. It’s time for Dance with a Vampire to move on.
Compulsion
I bought Compulsion after reading and loving The Magnolia League. It had similar vibes so I thought I’d love it. But I never could get into it. I’ve held on to it for way too long. I don’t see myself ever reaching for it.
So that was another book unhaul. I’ve really been enjoying these lately. I love the progress that I’ve made. I really want my shelves to be filled with books that I love. And I want to pass these on because they might just be the perfect book for someone else.
