I love indie book stores. You just can’t beat the feel of them. You know you’re surrounded by good books and people who love them. Unfortunately, there aren’t any around me so I have to travel to get to them. Here are a few that I have on my list to visit.
Snail on the Wall
Snail on the Wall is located in Huntsville, Alabama. It’s a couple of hours away from me, but I’ve only been to Huntsville once. I would really love to go give this bookshop a try. I follow them on Instagram and it look’s like such a fun place.
I don’t know a lot about Little Professor. I found it on Google the other day. It’s in Homewood, which we visit a good bit. I don’t know how I’ve missed it.
The next two are a little more than a couple of hours away. The Strand is located in New York. If you’ve been around the bookternet for very long you know about The Strand. It’s iconic.
Lastly, is Powell’s. It’s just as iconic as The Strand, but it’s on the west coast. It claims to be the largest indepent book shop in the world. And I’ve heard it is huge. I couldn’t make this list without including it.
So those are a few indie book stores that I want to visit. Let me know your favorite book store in the comments. I’d love to add a few to my list.
