Sci-Fi Books That I Want To Try

So at the first of the year I fell in love with Skyward by Brandon Sanderson. It’s the first sci-fi book that I truly connected with. For so long I just stayed away from the genre, but now I want to give it a chance. My reading taste has changed recently and I’m ready to get out of my comfort zone. So here are a few sci-fi books that I want to try.

Leviathan Wakes

Leviathan Wakes|James S. A. Corey

I can blame this one on Daniel Greene. When I first heard about Leviathan Wakes it didn’t really interest me. But the more I hear about it the more I want to read it. This is book one in the Expanse series. I don’t know if I want to bite off another series, but if I love the first one it might be fun to dive into a series outside of my genre preference.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy|Douglas Adams

One of my friends swears the The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a must read. And honestly, the synopsis makes this seem like a ton of fun. It kind of gives me Guardians of the Galaxy vibes. Now that assumption could be totally wrong, but I’m interested to see how much that opinion changes after reading this.

The Parable of the SOwer

Parable of the Sower|Octavia E. Butler

The Parable of the Sower is a classic. It is on so many must read lists, even outside of the sci-fi genre. I really feel like I’m missing out on something by not reading this. And the fact that it’s set in 2020 is so interesting.

My list of sci-fi books that I want to try is kind of short. Recommend some of your favorites down below.
