Happy Easter weekend! It’s a beautiful day here in Alabama, and it finally feels like spring. Let’s do The Easter Book Tag to kick off the celebration.
Rabbits: A book that you wish would multiply

I need the Song of Ice and Fire trilogy to multiply. I want an ending to my favorite fantasy series. And I know a lot of people feel the same way that I do. It’s time for the fans to receive closure.
Hunt: A book that was hard for you to get your hands on.

The Short Timers inspired the movie Full Metal Jacket. And for a brief time, I loved military fiction. Once I found out that this story existed, I had to have it. Unfortunately, it’s been out of publication for years. I paid a lot of money to have a copy of this book shipped from the United Kingdom. It was a good book, but I don’t know if it was worth the effort. But it’s definitely fun to have in my collection.
Lambs: A children’s book that you still enjoy.

Matilda will forever be one of my favorites. It’s a story filled with magic, books, and humor. I love it. Now I want to reread it.
Spring: A book with a cover that makes you think of spring.

Reckless Girls is the first thing that came to mind. I know it’s technically more tropical, but it still makes me think of spring sunshine.
Jesus: A religious or spiritual book that you love.

I read this devotional a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. Definitely worth the read.
Rising from the dead: A book from a deceased author.

My mind is stuck on Nathaniel Hawthorne right now. I’m listening to The Scarlet Letter, and I want to get to The House of Seven Gables soon.
Baskets: A book that is on your wish list right now.

I’ve wanted to read The Name of the Wind for a while, but I know book three isn’t out yet. Honestly, I’m afraid to commit because George RR Martin gave me trust issues. But I’ve heard the first chapter of book three has been released so that’s a start.
Candy: A book that is sweet.

The Tea Dragon Society is the sweetest thing I’ve ever read. It wholesome and fun. And yes, I still want a Tea Dragon.
So that wraps up The Easter Book Tag. If you want to play along, I tag you. I hope you have an awesome Easter, if you celebrate. If not, have an awesome weekend!
I still adore Matilda as well! 🥰 Also – The Name of the Wind is sooo good! 😍 I’d say the humongous trust issues I have because of it are worth it – although I’m afraid I highly doubt we’ll be seeing that final book any time soon… 😅 I’ve been waiting for over a decade at this point!! 😭
