I watch a lot of Booktube. Plus, I’m easily influenced, so a lot of the books I read are Booktube recommendations. Here are a few books that I picked up because Booktube told me to.
The Bone Shard Daughter

The Bone Shard Daughter was highly recommended by Elliot Brooks. It caught my attention the first time I saw it, but I didn’t get it right then. But the more she talked about it the more I realized that I needed to pick it up. I’m really glad I did because I ended up loving it.

The Eye of the World

If you’ve ever watched many Daniel Greene videos, you know he’s a fan of The Wheel of Time series. And honestly, I just had to see what the fuss was about. I was relatively new to adult fantasy when I stumbled across his channel, so a classic fantasy series seemed like a great place to start. I really enjoyed The Eye of the World, but I didn’t love The Great Hunt, so I’m not sure if I will continue the series.

The Lies of Locke Lamora

Merphy Napier absolutely raves about The Lies of Locke Lamora. She makes it sound so fun. So, I decided to give it a try. I’ve read the first chapter, but we started remodeling so I haven’t made it far. But from what I’ve read I think I will enjoy this one too.

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Lastly, I bought Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell because of Christy Anne Jones. It sounded like something that I really would enjoy. Unfortunately, I didn’t mesh with the writing style, so I dnfed it. But I still trust Christy’s recommendations this one just didn’t work for me. And her videos are stunning.

So those are a few books that I’ve bought because of Booktube. I really love being a part of this wonderful community.
