A Frightfully Good Book Haul

We went to Sarasota, Florida last weekend for a friend’s wedding. And while we were there I had to scope out an independent book store to visit. While I was searching I stumbled across Bookstore1Sarasota. It was a cute modern bookstore with a ton of books to choose from. And since it’s October you know I had to come home with a couple of spooky things. So let’s get to my frightfully good book haul.

Devil House

I haven’t really heard of Devil House, but it’s cover really caught my attention. I love the vintage vibes that it has. Then I read the synopsis and I knew it had to come home with me. I still haven’t read anything that spooked me this month, and I hope this will do the trick.

Cryptid Club

I could not pass up Cryptid Club. I have seen a few of the comics around and I knew I would love this graphic novel. Plus, it glows in the dark. How cool is that? I finished this book the first night I got it and it was totally worth the read. Now I can’t wait to read Fangs by the same author.

The Seven Year Pen

I’m a sucker for a good pen and this one caught my eye. It’s supposed to have an extra large refillable ink well. Plus, it sustainably made. So I had to grab one.

That was my frightfully good book haul. I didn’t need anymore books, but I can’t pass up an indie bookstore when I have the chance.
