I love book tags, especially seasonal book tags. So, it felt appropriate to do The Joy of Christmas Book Tag. This one has been floating around Booktube for several years. I’m not really sure where it started, but I’ve really enjoyed watching everyone’s answers. Let’s get to it.
Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real. What book release are you most anticipating?
I’m super excited for The Only One Left by Riley Sager. I’ve really enjoyed his work in the past, and this one is marketed as a gothic thriller. I think he’ll do a good job at creating that kind of suspense.
Christmas Songs and Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing its praises?
Brandon Sanderson. He hasn’t let me down yet. The more I read his work the more I’m impressed by his writing style. Seriously, if you’ve not read anything by him you need to!
Gingerbread House: What book or series has wonderful worldbuilding?
My default answer is The Stormlight Archives because that’s what I’m reading right now. But The Name of the Wind probably has some of the most impressive worldbuilding that I’ve ever experienced.
A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read.
I want to read The Nutcracker. I try to read a Christmas classic every year. Last year, I read A Christmas Carol. If you have any Christmas classic recommendations drop them in the comments below.
Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas?
I made a post about books on my Christmas list. Check that out for the more practical answers lol. But if we’re going all out, I would love to receive a copy of the Mistborn Leatherbound book edition from dragonsteelbooks.com.
Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?
I don’t really read anything that gives me warm fuzzy feelings.
Christmas Trees and Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?
I love the hard cover edition of Cackle. The neon green and black are stunning.
Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas and/or some of your favorite Christmas memories?
I love all of the time that I get to spend with my family.
So that’s The Joy of Christmas Book Tag. If you want to play along, I tag you!
