Sometimes life throws you a curveball. Sometimes hard things happen and I’m in that season right now. I was just starting to feel like myself again and out of the blue my life changed…again.
We’ve been in the middle of a pregnancy and a home remodel which literally has my life turned upside down. But two weeks ago, I fell off of our backdoor steps. My first concern was the baby but thankfully I landed on my hip and after thorough checking all is well with her. I wasn’t quite as lucky. That fall that happened in about two seconds brought my life to a halt because I broke my left leg and my right ankle.

I’ve had to wear casts for about two weeks now. I’m non-weight bearing on my leg so I’ve learned to hop on my right foot. It’s an interesting sight to see I’m sure, haha.
The pain hasn’t been as bad as I feared it would be. The first week was really tough and basically all I did was eat, sleep, and watch bad sitcom tv. But now the pain has lessened significantly and I follow up with the orthopedic doctor on Wednesday. Send a little prayer up for some good news because I’m tired of staring at my bedroom walls.
Now that I’m feeling a bit better I’ve felt like reading again. I started The God of the Woods on Saturday and I’ve made a decent dent in it. I can tell it’s going to be a slow burn but so far I’m enjoying it. Hopefully, as I continue to heal I’ll find the energy to read and blog again because I really miss it. Here’s hoping that the last half of the year will bring health and happiness to my family and yours. Thanks for coming on this journey with me.
