So I’m back after disappearing for two weeks (more about that Monday) with a review of Blink and Glow. I don’t normally review children’s books so I’m far from and expert but since I’m expecting my own little one I figured now was a great time to start. So let’s get to it.
Synopsis
Lilly and Leo think it’s super to catch fireflies and salamanders—and even more exciting, as they plan to bring their glowing nature finds to show-and-tell the next day. They have a change of heart when Grandma’s wisdom guides the children to respect the freedom and light of the natural life in all living things.
My Thoughts on Blink and Glow
I adored Blink and Glow. It’s so important to teach young children how to enjoy the natural world while still respecting the environment. We need to enjoy nature without disrupting it. Plus, there is a fun craft at the end to have a hands on way to reinforce the experience. I thought that was a fun touch. Overall, Blink and Glow is a great educational read in beautiful package.
