It’s a little too early for spring-cleaning but my brain is stuck in nesting mode. I want to clear out all the junk in my house and start fresh. And now I’m focused on my bookshelves. I have a lot of books that I don’t love or I’m uninterested in that are taking up space, so it’s time to do something about it. Let’s dive into my pre-spring cleaning book unhaul.

House of Sky and Breath
I can’t believe I’m doing this, but I’m unhauling a Sarah J Maas series. I’ve fought tooth and nail to enjoy this series, and I just can’t. I need to list House of Earth and Blood as well.

I read a few pages in this, and I just didn’t vibe with the writing. I want it to go to someone that will enjoy it better than I will.
Magic Lessons
Magic Lessons mildly interests me still, but I didn’t love Practical Magic, so I’m not prioritizing this. It’s just collecting dust on my shelf. It’s time to unhaul it.
Ghost Story
I was so excited when I hauled this Stephen King Horror Library Edition of Ghost Story from an antique store. But after trying to read Ghost Story my love for it dropped.
Storm Front
And lastly, I’m unhauling Storm Front. Urban fantasy isn’t my favorite, and I just couldn’t connect with this.

I did a big book unhaul recently, too. It definitely feels good to make space.

It’s nice to sort through books and unhaul. I donated about 25 books to my library last year. I used to read alot of Alice Hoffman but it’s been a while.

I have a copy of Storm Front that I’d like to try sometime soon, especially to find out if it’s a character I even care about hahah
I tried reading it a few times but just couldn’t connect with it. But it does sound like a fun story.
