The weather has been beautiful in my neck of the woods lately. It’s been sunny and warm, and it makes me want to get out of the house. So, that’s exactly what we did. Northeast Alabama is beautiful this time of year with a plethora of things to do. Here’s what we got up to.
Bama Bucks

Bama Bucks is a restaurant/exotic animal park in Sardis, Alabama. We’ve been here several times and it’s always great. This time included.

We ordered the Duck Blinds appetizer. They’re delicious. They had such a unique taste. I would go back just for them.

But the showstopper of the meal was the Non-Typical porterhouse steak. I would love to have another one right now. And honestly, it was so big I made two meals off of it. So, prepare for leftovers.
Shades of Pemberly Book Store

Then we stopped by an indie bookstore in Albertville called Shades of Pemberly. They had a good selection of used books at a great price. I found a copy of The Curse of the Mistwraith for around $3.00. Then I also found a new bible study to try when I finish my current one. My entire purchase was around $13.00 so I was super happy about that.

Guntersville State Park

Lastly, we visited Lake Guntersville State Park. Cj conveniently had his fishing gear in the truck, so we squeezed in an hour or two of fishing. I also took a second to do my bible study by the lake and squeezed in some time reading The Empire of Silence as well. I didn’t take many pictures of the lake because I really just enjoyed relaxing but let me just assure you that it’s beautiful.
So that was our spring day out in Northeast Alabama. What did you do this weekend? I’d love to hear about it in the comments. Did you read anything fun?
