Life in the Wildwood: A Quick AeroGarden Update

I don’t have much to update AeroGarden wise this month. All of the herbs except the thyme and thai basil were thriving. I thought if I transplanted them, it might help the other two. Ignore the duct tape. If you ever have empty spots they need to be covered to prevent algae. They make pretty covers, but I don’t have them yet. I decided to improvise.

After I transplanted those, they’re all happily living in my herb garden outside. I was worried that the juxtaposition from my air-conditioned house to the hot Alabama sunshine would be too much but they’re doing great outside.

Now the thyme and the Thai basil on the other hand are not doing great. Honestly, I gave up on them. The Thai basil never made it past a sprout, and the thyme never sprouted at all. So right now, my AeroGarden is empty, but I have some lettuce on the way. Hopefully, next month’s update will be a bit more exciting.

  1. Gardening is the best! If you want to grow thyme, I’d suggest getting the fresh thyme in dirt from target (if possible). Then planting it outside or in a window box. I have been having the best luck with target fresh thyme. Looking forward to more posts!
