My Summer 2025 Anticipated Releases

Happy Summer Solstice! It’s been a minute since I’ve done an anticipated releases post. Last year, I was in a horrible reading slump, so I wasn’t interested in new releases. And at the first of this year, I tried to focus on some backlist reads. But now I’m back and I want to talk about my summer 2025 anticipated releases. Let’s get to it.

The Listeners

summer 2025 anticipated releases

I haven’t read anything by Maggie Stiefvater, but I know a lot of people love her. So, when I saw The Listeners, I decided to give the synopsis a read and man does it sound interesting. One of the taglines says it combines fantasy and history and that sounds good to me. In the synopsis I didn’t catch the fantasy reference, but I can’t wait to read it and see where that comes in.

Release Date: June 3, 2025

With a Vengeance

summer 2025 anticipated releases

It’s not summer without a Sager book. I look forward to his new release every June. With a Vengeance has And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express vibes. People are comparing it to a modern-day Agatha Christie novel. Unfortunately, though, I’ve already read this one and it didn’t completely work for me. I’ll have a review up soon.

Release Date: June 10, 2025

A Mother Always Knows

A Mother Always Knows follows a normal millennial girl with a not so normal past. She’s living under a fake name after her mother was brutally murder in their diviner commune in Vermont. But now her mother’s murderer has track her down and she has to find him before he finds her. This combines a lot of elements I look for in horror and I’m hoping this one will do it right.

Release Date: July 1, 2025

The Bewitching

Lastly, we have The Bewitching. I was a little hesitant about this because I didn’t love Mexican Gothic. But there are too many interesting elements in this one for me to pass it up. A graduate student focused on horror literature discovers that a popular novel might not be fiction after all. While looking deeper into the book she discovers that witches might be real after all. Her great grandma tried to warn her.

Release Date: July 15, 2025

So those are my summer 2025 anticipated releases. Have you read any of these? What books are you looking forward to this summer?
