I’m late to the Dream Harbor series game, but better late than never. Let’s review The Pumpkin Spice Cafe.
Synopsis
When Jeanie’s aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Café in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job.
Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harbor’s gossip at all costs. But Jeanie’s arrival disrupts Logan’s routine and he wants nothing to do with the irritatingly upbeat new girl, except that he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her.
Will Jeanie’s happy-go-lucky attitude win over the grumpy-but-gorgeous Logan, or has this city girl found the one person in town who won’t fall for her charm, or her pumpkin spice lattes…
My Thoughts on The Pumpkin Spice Cafe
This isn’t going to be a long review. This isn’t that kind of book. I read this purely for fun. I don’t plan to write a literary analysis or take up a ton of time. The Pumpkin Spice Cafe is the perfect book for my fellow seasonal mood readers. I read it over Thanksgiving weekend, and it had all of the autumnal feelings that I had hoped for. The romance was cute though a little repetitive as the same problem kept coming up over and over again. Plus, it was a classic case of insta-love. So, no, The Pumpkin Spice Cafe wasn’t perfect, but it was still a quick cozy read with a lot of heart. You can bet I’ll be reading The Christmas Tree Farm as soon as I finish up with The Cinnamon Bun Book Store.
My Rating: 4/5
