Book Series I Started in 2025

I’m notorious for starting series and not finishing them. So today I just wanted to start a list of all the book series I started in 2025 and decide if I plan to continue them or not.

The Band

Books Read: Kings of the Wyld

Will I Continue the Series: No. I don’t really feel like this book needed a continuation. And it follows a different cast of characters than book one.

The Sun Eater Series

Books Read: Empire of Silence, Howling Dark (dnfed)

Will I Continue the Series: Nope. Howling Dark really bored me. I just didn’t love it as much as I loved Empire of Silence.

The Murderbot Diaries

Books Read: All Systems Red

Will I Continue the Series: Probably not. I might listen to the audiobooks, but I have no interest in physically reading them.

The Green Bone Saga

Books Read: Jade City

Will I Continue the Series: I plan to continue this series but it’s not super high on my list.

The Bloodsworn Saga

Books Read: The Shadow of the Gods

Will I Continue the Series: I plan to continue this series. I would love to finish it before the end of the year, but there’s no way that will happen.

The Devils

Books Read: The Devils

Will I Continue the Series: Is this going to be a series? Goodreads says it is. Anyhow, this was probably the most disappointing book of this year so I will not be finishing the series.

Empire of the Wolves

Books Read: The Justice of Kings

Will I Continue the Series: I had fun with this one. I’ll probably finish the series.

Dream Harbor Series

Books Read: The Pumpkin Spice Cafe, The Cinnamon Bun Book Store (currently reading)

Will I Continue the Series: Yep. This series is like dessert for the soul. I look forward to reading each book in season.

Chronicles of the Bitch Queen

Books Read: The Wolf of Oren-Yaro (currently reading)

Will I Continue the Series: We’ll see. It started off a little slow, but it feels like it’s picking up now.

So those are the book series I started in 2025. I’m a little sad that I didn’t find a new favorite this year. I’m still recovering from the end of the first arc of the Stormlight Archives. But there’s always hope for 2026.
