After such a horrible year last year, I’m happy to announce that 2025 was amazing. I’ve settled into motherhood and life, and I’ve even been able to squeeze in some reading into my new routine. So, let’s get into my 2025 reading wrap up.
Number Read
I read 53 books. My goal was 25 so I’m 212% over my goal. I set it low this year because I had a newborn and I didn’t know how much time I would have to actually read. I’m pretty happy with that outcome.

I applaud everyone getting into Stormlight, it’s too intimidating for me at the moment! My reading year was great, lots of ARCs and a lot more DNFs because that was one of my goals to quit sooner, all great!
Stormlight is intimidating but once your in it’s so much fun! And that is awesome! I’m a huge believer in dnfing. There are too many other good books out there to suffer through one you’re not enjoying.
I am so pleased that 2025 was a great year for you and that you settled into motherhood, while still finding time for some great reading. Blessings, Jessica 💌

How lovely that you got to read even with a newborn around. It’s a matter of life stages for me, too – I read more than usual because my husband spent a lot of weekends staying with his brother while they cleared their parents’ house for sale (said parents are living in a care home now), and then I was more fragile with injuries and a bout of Covid, so more time sitting around reading!
I hope you’re feeling better now! And I hope you get a lot of reading time in 2026!
