Last July, I decided that I was tired of my sedentary lifestyle. I wanted to eat healthier, walk more, and get better sleep. Honestly, I just wanted to improve my health in general. And while I have stuck to those goals, for the most part, I’ve also made some new ones for 2024. I’m writing these down mostly to hold myself accountable, but if you want to join me, you’re more than welcome to. Let’s get to it.
My Goals
Eat Healthier. I mentioned in my post in July that I was eating a lot of veggies out of my garden. They were in season and plentiful. But I’m still doing a pretty good job at eating fruits and vegetables right now as well. I’ve really been enjoying salads and I’m trying to eat a lot of citrus fruit to keep my immune system up. And I’m continuing my Bloom supplements to make sure I get enough greens in even on the days that I don’t do as well.
Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. In July I had planned to double my steps each day. I mainly walked around my yard. But honestly, I didn’t keep that up. And then in the fall it would be dark before I got home which took away that option. But back in November I started using a weighted hoop almost daily. I started exercising ten minutes a day, but now I’m up to thirty a day. I want to stay consistent with that because I can tell a big difference in my energy level.
Relax more. Lastly, I want to relax more. Last year was manic and I stayed on the go most of the time. This year I want to slow down more. I want to focus on my hobbies and my home. I also have a neck injury and stress really causes a lot of inflammation in my body. And I just want to limit that as much as possible.
What I Plan to Read
I’m hoping to read more non-fiction this year. I read a good bit last year, but I’d like to listen to more while I work out. But right now, I’m stuck on True Crime with Kendall Rae so we will see how that goes lol.
So those are my health goals for the year. Thanks for going on this journey with me,

Best of luck with your health goals! I’m also trying to move more this year and eat healthier this year.
Good luck with your goals!
These sound like great goals. I hope you keep up with the exercise and feeling more energised.
Thank you! It’s made a big difference so far.
Good luck! I wish I could fit in 30 minutes of exercise a day… I guess I could, but it’s such a challenge to get going after a day of work. Very inspiring to read your goals! I’ll have to think about how to improve my own.
It was a struggle at first. But now it’s one of my top priorities. The biggest thing is I don’t sit down first. I walk in and go straight to exercise. If I sit down first, I won’t ever get up, hahaha.
Good luck with your goals.
Lynn 😀
Thank you so much!
