August 2024 Wrap Up/September TBR

I’m a little late with my August 2024 wrap up and September tbr due to my injuries. But hey, better late than never. So let’s get to it.

August Wrap Up

I was actually shocked that I read this many books in August. I didn’t think I had gotten around to that many. But August felt like a long month so I guess it makes sense.

Goodbye, Things: The New Japanese Minimalism

August 2024 wrap up

My Rating: 1/5

My Review: This book repeated itself over and over again. I liked his advice in the first part of the book but then it just became borderline crazy. He was getting rid of things that normal people need. I draw the line at only having one towel in the house to dry your dishes and……body parts…….with. I understand decreasing clutter but I want to live comfortably at the same time.

Blink and Glow

The God of the Woods

A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon

My Rating: 2/5

My Review: This was a cute book. The town did feel like Stars Hollow. So it does had good vibes, but it lacked the depth I needed to stay interested. The romance was a tad insta-love but it did have some spicy moments that I enjoyed.
It’s not bad it just wasn’t for me.

September TBR

Now it’s time for my September TBR. I’m hitting the spooky, gothic vibes full force this month.

Interview with the Vampire

Interview with the Vampire has always been on my list to read. I’m finally getting around to it. I’m enjoying it so far but I have thoughts. I’m interested to see if those thoughts change later on.

The September House

I’ve heard mostly good things about The September House so I decided to give it a try. I have high hopes for this one because the first few pages really hooked me.

So Thirsty

Rachel Harrison is quickly becoming an auto buy author for me. She just knows what to say to keep me interested. I wanted to save So Thirsty for October but I just can’t wait.

So that’s my August 2024 wrap up and September tbr. Did you find any new favorites in August? Are you reading anything fun in September? Let me know in the comments.
