The high in Alabama is 22 degrees today. I would say winter is officially here. So let’s do the Winter Book Tag.
I found this tag over on Books Are 42. Don’t forget to check out their post.
Falling Snow: The colors of Winter are muted, choose a book that has whites, light blues and greys

Moon of the Crusted Snow has the most wintery cover I’ve seen in a minute. I hope it has the wintry vibes that I’m looking for but it’s dystopian so I’m not expecting any cozy feelings.
Crackling Fire: colder weather makes for the perfect time to sit by a crackling fire, which book is best to curl up next to the fire with?

I think winter is the perfect time for fantasy. What a better way to spend the long evenings than to immerse yourself in another world. And The Name of the Wind is a perfect story to cozy up by the fire with.
Ice Storm: winter storms can be brutal, what book do you love that takes the characters through a brutal season?

No words are needed for this. The A Song of Ice and Fire series is the first thing that comes to mind. Winter is Coming.
Winter Wishes: spending more time indoors allows more time to dream and wish, which character is living a life that you dream about?

I recently reread Financial Peace. Dave Ramsey is debt free. That’s really the dream, hahaha.
Hot Cocoa: there is nothing like a hot cup of cocoa during winter, what book do you think should be the next big thing?

Black Sheep needs more hype. It’s so, so good.
Lip Balm and Lotion: soothing dry skin is part of winter for many, what book is full of soothing and comforting words?

Wind and Truth is surprisingly comforting despite the chaos of war and bad weather. I don’t want to spoil anything, but one character goes on a mental health journey with another character and the discussions they have are great.
Peppermint Mocha: what is your winter go to food or drink?
I love chestnut praline lattes from Starbucks. It’s not Christmas until I have one.
So that’s the Winter Book Tag. If you want to play along, I tag you.

I love to see that people are still doing book tags since they are my favourite to do and read blog posts
I had taken a break from them, and I really missed it! They’re a lot of fun!
I love this tag and your choices are brilliant. It’s certainly unusual to see Sanderson listed as a comforting read but I can totally see why you picked it.
My brain works in weird ways the content itself is not comforting but somehow it is to me, hahahaha.
Definitely feeling like winter right now in the south. My neck of Louisiana was 15 degrees this morning.
