August 2026 TBR

Guys, it’s August. That means we’re one step closer to spooky season and I can’t wait. So, I’m going to take this month to tackle a few books that have been hanging over my head this year. I’ve got to clear my shelves in time to stock up for Halloween. Let’s get to my August 2026 tbr.

Chasing the Boogeyman

Synopsis:

In the summer of 1988, the mutilated bodies of several missing girls begin to turn up in a small Maryland town. The grisly evidence leads police to the terrifying assumption that a serial killer is on the loose. But soon a rumor begins to spread that the evil stalking local teens is not entirely human. Richard Chizmar returns to his hometown just as a curfew is enacted and a neighborhood watch is formed. I loved Memorials by Richard Chizmar, so when I saw Chasing the Boogeyman in my suggested feed on Kindle, I decided to add it to my library. I think it will be a nice refresher before I dive into Edge of Eternity.

I know, I know. Edge of Eternity been on my tbr almost every month this year. I promise I’m going to read it this month.
