I’m off track. On everything. My reading goals. My health goals. My career goals. If it can get off track it currently is. So, I need to pause and take a minute to pull myself together. So, I decided August was the perfect time for a refresh and a reset. Here’s my plan
1. Clean Up My Diet
I have a couple of health things that cause chronic inflammation in my body. Knowing that, I don’t need my diet to add to it. Lately, I’ve been eating crappy and it’s making me feel crappy, so I want to focus on an anti-inflammatory diet. I’ve also been exploring The Glucose Goddess Method because extra glucose doesn’t help the situation.
2. Move My Body Daily
Exercise helps creates endorphins. I need all the endorphins I can get. So, I want to intentionally move my body. I don’t have a strict exercise routine or anything like that. I start the morning out with ten minutes of stretching to warm my body up. Then I try to end the day by using my Infinity Hoop.
3. Drink More Water
I’m seven days into August and I’m not doing great at this one. I’m trying to drink at least 100 ounces a day. I’ve not done that. Not even close. The most I’ve done is 60. Hopefully, I can try a little harder during the rest of the month.
4. Track Spending
I’ve got to get back on a budget. I work in finance. I know the power of a budget. We tell people daily to be aware of what they’re spending. Then I realized this is a practice what you preach moment. So, I’m going to get on a budget and stick with it.
5. Journal/Devotional
My journal and devotion time helps to clear my mind in ways that other things can’t. Every morning after breakfast I try to squeeze in a bit of quiet time before I start my day.
6. No Phone for 30 Minutes After Waking
Lastly, I want to wait 30 minutes after waking up to check my phone. Honestly, I want to limit my phone usage altogether.
So that’s how I’m refreshing and resetting my daily routine.

These are great goals, good luck! Eating healthier and moving daily make such a big difference.
It really does. My energy levels are so much better!
Nice ideas for a reset! I really need to find a way to move my body every day as well. I work full-time in an office and most workdays I just don’t have time to break away… but I know I’ll feel better if I do!
I totally understand. I’m in the same boat. It’s so hard to make the time.
These are great goals and I need to get on board with some of them myself. Particularly eating more healthily and getting back to my daily exercise.
