I finally made my way through Words of Radiance, and, wow, was it a journey. So, let’s talk about it.
Kaladin lives despite the wishes of his enemies. Now he’s promoted to Captain of the royal guard. He must protect Dalinar and the King while trying to learn about his new powers. The assasin Szeth is on the move. And Kaladin must make sure he doesn’t get to Dalinar. Meanwhile, Dalinar continues to have troubling visions while slowly becoming as outcast among the other high princes. And brilliant Shallan has found herself on a path to prevent the return of the Voidbringers.
My Thoughts on Words of Radiance
I really don’t know what else to say about this other than I loved it. Seriously, this book was absolutely amazing! The Way of Kings was good, but there was a lot of world and character building. In Words of Radiance the world was developed, and the characters were fully fleshed out.
And while I enjoyed the main characters’ separate plotlines I’m really excited to see where it goes after they’ve come together. I also loved getting the back story of our main characters, and I love the addition of new characters. I think that what Brandon Sanderson does best. He makes believable characters.
I’m so ready to get on to book three. Words of Radiance really upped the stakes, and I can’t wait to see the series expand.
Words of Radiance is my favorite book in The Stormlight Archive (at least thus far), so I’m thrilled to hear you loved it, too! 🥰
I really think it will be my favorite too!
